Overview
Armed maritime security teams embarked on commercial transits through high-risk waters. Rotations run 2–4 weeks on / 2–4 weeks off with short-notice adjustments.
Duties
- Vessel hardening, watch rotation and citadel drills
- Rules-for-the-use-of-force compliance and incident reporting
- Crew briefings prior to entering the high-risk area
Requirements
- Prior maritime security or naval infantry experience
- STCW basic safety training current
- Valid seafarer medical certificate
- Team-leader candidates require 3+ prior transits
